Vegetables that eliminate Candida (includes recipes)

This weekend, I finally got to try Kohlrabi. I sliced it thinly in my salad and I loved it. It tastes like sweet radish. If you looking for new things to try, I would definitely recommend it. It is one of the veggies I added to my Candida diet and I decided to share the rest of Candida killing veggies plus some recipes in this post.

Here are some other Candida friendly recipes

If you are trying to eliminate Candida overgrowth and get back to good health, I highly recommend adding the following veggies to you diet.

Kohlrabi

It is very beneficial for treating Candida, Edema and Viral infections. In Chinese Medicine kohlrabi is considered a food that can dry out internal dampness. Dampness can manifest as obesity, dysbiosis (Candida) or a whole host of other health problems. If you are trying to lose weight this is a great vegetable to include in your diet. Kohlrabi improves energy circulation and eases stagnant conditions. It helps to stabilize blood sugar and is used for hypoglycemia and diabetes. It is an excellent source of vitamin C and potassium. Kohlrabi is high in fiber and low in calories.

Rutabaga

It is one of the most potent anti-fungal foods that you will find. Although you might think it falls into the same category of foods to avoid as sweet potatoes and yams, it actually has some very strong anti-fungal properties.

The typical treatment dose is one cup a day. The rutabaga has to be eaten raw to get the full anti-fungal effect. Because eating rutabaga for the first time sometimes produces a powerful detox reaction, it is best to start with a quarter cup per day, and increase the dose to a full cup a day over a week.

Rutabagas, like all Brassicas, contain dithiolthiones and sulfur, which have antioxidant, antibiotic and antiviral characteristics. Rutabagas are high in fiber, complex carbohydrates, vitamin C, potassium, and manganese. Rutabaga helps boost the immune system, and prevents fungal, viral, and bacterial infections. Rutabaga also prevents cancer, spina bifida, and heart disease. Rutabagas are sometimes recommended for cases of constipation.

Because rutabagas are a very powerful anti-fungal, the first time they are eaten they may cause a detox reaction from the candida die off. If they are eaten in a large quantity, like a cup, the die off reaction can be severe enough to knock someone unconscious. When eating a rutabaga the first time, start with no more than a quarter cup, also have some vitamin C and molybdenum on hand to minimize the die off reaction if necessary. Rutabagas have mustard oil, so they may cause gas, especially if eaten raw. Rutabagas may cause low thyroid levels.

The rutabaga has a more mellow, golden appearance than turnips or potatoes, and when cooked it turns sweet yet savory — like the richest golden potato you can imagine. It's less starchy, but still very satisfying.

They are just as simple to cook as potatoes, and maybe a bit more delicious. Try this recipe - Danielle's Super (Rutabaga) Fries

Tips for healthy Digestion:

Brussels sprouts

Brussels sprouts are still one of my favorite natural anti-fungals. Brussels are anti-fungal, anti-carcinogenic, DNA-stabilizing; they help lower cholesterol, fight inflammation, boost immunity and are a great source of fiber. They also protect your eyes, since they’re packed with Vitamin A, so if you’re on the computer a lot: eat your Brussels!

Garlic

Using raw garlic cloves as one of your anti-fungals is probably one of the cheapest ways to kill the Candida. In the first month of your Candida treatment, garlic is especially useful in reducing the population of the Candida population fairly quickly, but in the beginning of the treatment garlic can cause quite a strong bout Herxhiemer’s Revenge in your body, so just be sure you’re using Molybdenum Amino Acid Chelate to protect your liver and lessen the die-off effect, and always drink plenty of water to wash the die-off toxins from your body. To show you just how powerful garlic can be, The Garlic Information Center of Great Britain reported that even the anthrax bacterium called Bacillus anthracis is susceptible to raw garlic.

Onions

Onions have strong anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic properties. They also help to flush excess fluids out the body – this is useful because many Candida sufferers experience water retention. Onions along with garlic can give you breath issues, so a handy tip is to eat them with a bit of parsley to counter the smell.

Most Cruciferous veggies including broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage have compounds containing sulfur and nitrogen. These compounds, known as isothiocyanates, kill candida.

Home Remedies For Warts

Warts are small benign growths on the skin, caused by a variety of related, slow-acting viruses HPV (human papilloma virus). There are at least sixty known types of HPV. Warts may appear singly or in clusters. We will talk about three types of warts: Common warts, Plantar warts, and genital warts. Common warts can be found anywhere on the body, but are most common on the hands, fingers elbows, forearms, knees, face, and the skin around the nails. Most often, they occur on skin that is expose to constant friction, trauma, or abrasion. They can also occur on the larynx (the voice box) and cause hoarseness. Common warts may be flat or raised , dry or moist, and have a rough and pitted surface that is either the same color as or slightly darker than the surrounding skin. They can be as small as a pinhead or as large as small bean. Highly contagious, the virus that causes common warts is acquired through breaks in the skin.   Common warts can spread if they picked, trimmed,

Zhan Zhuang - Foundation of Internal Martial Arts

I found another good article on my favorite topic. Zhan Zhuang  - foundation of Internal Martial Arts by Karel Koskuba Most Internal Martial Arts use some form of standing practice as foundation training (and  Taijiquan  is no exception in this regard).  These standing exercises are usually called  Zhan Zhuang   (pole standing); sometimes they are called  'Standing Qigong'.   The  standing exercises  are supposed to relax and help you   'accumulate Qi'.  I n this article I shall try to outline my theory that should explain, from western perspective, why these exercises are so important both for Internal Martial Arts and Qigong , how this western view correlates with the traditional  Qi   view and give training advice on how to practice them. In writing this article I have drawn upon my experience from Taijiquan, Yiquan and information from medical postural rehabilitation research and sports science. 3 Tao Longevity Practices (Free Instructions and Video)

Turtle Breathing Qigong  – Longevity Practice Taoists were greatly concerned with promoting longevity and became renowned for their longevity practices. An essential component of their most successful longevity techniques is called "turtle breathing," which is an eight-minute breath. Giant turtles are known to live for hundreds of years. They commonly submerge themselves in the water and hold their breath for more than five minutes at a time. Turtle Breathing instructions below are provided by   Bruce Frantzis. Another Turtle Qigong form is "Golden Turtle" can be seen in Mantak Chia's Iron Shirt Chi Kung and Wang DiXian's Tai-chi Nei-gong 24 styles (in Chinese). The form itself is simple: a squatting stance with horizontal spinal cord. Those practitioners who can go through the initial difficult period can get the great benefits out of this simple form. Instruction below are from Iron Shirt Chi Kung by Mantak Chia.   I also found The 10
