My Favorite Meditation for Self-Healing

The mantra  RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG  is one of the most popular healing meditations taught by  Yogi Bhajan. This is one of my favorite meditations. I try to practice it as often as I can. It's a beautiful mantra that you can sing or listen to. You can experience peace and calm right away. "A regular listening practice is not only good for practical, preventative self-health care, but also it will aid in the assurance of a healthier life. It can help preserve the body and pave the way toward a positive mental projection. Chanting or listening to this mantra set to this classical tune will drive out depression and re-vibrate your life .  It contains the eight sounds that stimulate the Kundalini to flow in the central channel of the spine and in the spiritual centers. This sound balances the five zones of the left and right hemispheres of the brain to activate the neutral mind . As this happens, the hypothalamus pulsates in rhythm with the ...

Rapid Relaxation Tips

Today I want to share two easy and rapid relaxation tips that work great. If you're given to tightening up during the day because of stress, lack of sleep, a jerk for a boss, or any of the zillion other reasons most of us rarely relax, then try putting these tips to work. I learned them, by the way, from a retired college psychology professor. Whoa! In the second series of three breaths, inhale  deeply and, as you exhale,  say quietly or  think to yourself, " Calm mind ." In the final series of three breaths, inhale  deeply and, as you exhale, say (and do) " Smile ." ...

Become like still water!

Muddy water , let stand, becomes clear. Using Lao-Tzu's insight, I think you'd agree with me that most of the time, your life and mind are a lot like  muddy water , stirred up often by people and things. But it doesn't have to be that way! In a minute or two by using this exercise, you can clear your mind, your body, and your emotions and become like still water! Here's how to be still and clear ... Take a deep breath . Hold for a second. Exhale slowly and start to focus inwardly . Repeat two or three more times.   Imagine a  murky lake inside of you . Take few more deep breaths.     There, now you can feel the water of your life starting to slow down . Visualize the waves getting smaller. Mentally see the d...
